The Anchor Inn
A short level walk from Dawlish Warren
Take a stroll along the level country lane or cycle along NCN2 to Cockwood and you will find the Anchor Inn.
The unique charm of the quaint little harbour is just a few steps away from the pub - edged by a low cobbled stone wall, surrounded by baskets of flowers in summer, fairy lights in winter - and you have a truly magical setting for the Anchor Inn.
Sit outside and watch the Cockwood swans whilst soaking up the last of the setting sun in the evening, enjoying one of our great draught beers; and in summer, relax and, whilst still within sight, let your kiddies fish for crabs under the duct of an historic Brunel bridge; or watch the steam train (Torbay Express) and other noteworthy trains which travel the Brunel railway, a veritable train-spotters paradise.
The charming village of Cockwood boasts a large and lovely village green, also home to canadian geese, ducks and other wild birds, the green being edged by a natural riverlet.
As well as our extensive a la carte menu, bar snack menu and choice of daily specials, we also have Fish of the Day and details of this will be found in the restaurant area.
