About the Parish of St Mary's - Cofton
May 2020 - "A big thank you" to Devon Historic Churches Trust and Allchurches Trust for their help to enable us to put a new water main into the church as we had a leak which was traced to under a solid floor so was not repairable.
Dawlish Warren is in the Parish of St Mary's Cofton which is at the opposite end of Church Road from Cockwood - post code is EX6 8RP.
There are services in the church each Sunday at 11am either Holy Communion or Morning Worship, with exception of the 5th Sunday when the service is a Benefice service and is at one of the four Benefice churches, St Mary’s Cofton, St Paul’s Starcross, St Gregory’s Dawlish, St George’s Holcombe or at St Mary’s Hall at Dawlish Warren at 10am. The venue for the fifth Sunday service will be displayed on the Churches and Hall Notice boards. All are welcome at all services they are all followed by coffee, etc.
During the summer; the church is open each day for private prayer from 11am until 4pm. On each Wednesday there will be a short service of Holy Communion for those who missed church on Sunday and once a month on a Tuesday there will be a short Morning Prayer followed by Coffee; each Thursday morning from 11am until 1pm coffee and tea is served.
